Driving down the direct and wide Zhuhai Road, passing over the Jitimen Bridge, you will be able to look over the high workshop buildings by the riverside where is the well-known “Zhuhai Yacht Industrial District”. The Zhuhai Yacht Industrial District is surrounded by many mountains and rivers. It is one of the best places to develop yacht industrial and has attracted a lot of enterprisers from Taiwan and mainland China for its advantageous geographical location, convenient transportation. The entrance gate with imposing lighting house, sail-shaped stanchions and the spectacular granite gate wall engraved with company logo that designed by Howard is breathtaking and has certainly had an effect on those people passing by. Jet-Tern Marine (Zhuhai factory) covers 120,000 square meters. In addition, it’s worthwhile to mention that Howard Chen invested a lot of time in the design of construction illumination. The two cream color, 14-meter height workshop buildings and the beautiful 4-story dormitory that stand near the 60-meter-width Zhuhai Road are very eye-catching. They stand out well against the lighting, especially in the evening. This scenetic makes Zhuhai Jet-Tern Marine set apart from the other factories. Not only being a Boat Building undergraduate, but also Howard Chen has the Master Degrees of Architecture of Taiwan Tunghai University and Zhong Shan University MBA Program. The whole factory design, workshop arrangement, production line and the landscape allocation are all from Howard’s idea and conception. It opened up a human factory. Who can believe there is used to be a deserted banana plantation! Jet-Tern Marine will achieve new heights under the lead of Howard Chen. By the end of June, 2007, many major engineering projects had been completed one after another, including the 13,627 square meters workshop buildings A & B, main warehouse (3,127 M2 ), dormitory(5,423 M2 )…. Besides, the major and supplementary road inside the factory, greening project will be finished recently. A modern yacht building center had been took shape. The stage 3 of this project, which includes the engineering for the anchoring dock , office building, dustless painting room…., will commence progressively very soon. It will be the best equipped and biggest scale shipyard that building boats in FRP and one of the 10 biggest shipyards in the world. The workshop B equipped with 4 cranes capable of lifting 10 tons is the biggest single production shop in Asia and can accommodate 36 sets of mold and semi-products. With its completion, we will enable to build more boats faster and the output value of Zhuhai factory will be increased by 100%. In addition, the manufacturing center of S/S hardware parts used to build the boat is set up in October 2006, under the supervision of Mr. Chen Yilung. It will be a great help in increasing the self-made ability and reducing the cost.
