Jet-Tern Marine is proud to inform you that we are nearly ready to complete the new Selene 53 Ocean Express.
This boat is a semi-displacement hull, designed by a very prestigious USA designer for its efficiency & soft ride. JTM has built two 50’ boats from this mold, but she is the first stretched hull to 53’, this will create a slim hull with longer LWL and a better speed with less longitudinal pitching.
The traditional teak interior is a two stateroom layout with two toilets. There is a roomy saloon with fully equipped galley and raised pilot house with a high settee.
The exterior has a spacious cockpit, P & S side walk deck and a remarkable Portuguese Bridge deck that is only shown on the larger Selene. With twin Cummins QSL 9, 405 hp, Kohler ( or Onan ) 17 KW genset, 750 USG fuel capacity in two FRP tanks … this boat actually performs like a “faster Selene”…. can reach a top speed around 19 knots, so JTM named her as “ Selene 53 Ocean Express”. The first boat has been sold to a famous HK investment banker by Selene Asia, she will be kept at the HK Marina and our HK dealer, Amy So, will welcome the boat tour / sea trial for prospective customers.
We believe this new Selene family member will provide a broader choice for customers, for those who like a higher speed and still insist on the comfort and quality of Selenes.
